High Five for Literacy

Building a culture of literacy so children can succeed.

Several youth-focused organizations are part of an initiative in our community to build a culture of literacy.

Our three goals are to:

  1. Reduce the summer slide
  2. Increase access to reading and learning materials
  3. Create awareness of child development needs for parents

Reading Under the Lights (FREE, Open to the Public)

READING UNDER THE LIGHTS is a FREE event to kick-off summer learning.  Join other families to read under the lights of Mauer Football Field. Listen to stories at one of our six reading circles,
take photos with celebrity book characters, and more! FREE food and book give-a-way.
View the list of books to be distributed.

Friday, May 12, 2017; 6:30pm-8:30pm @ Maurer Fields (W. Bowman Rd. in Wooster, OH)
